Minimalist aesthetics work well in many types of buildings. Not only is it fashionable and does not overload the space unnecessarily, but it is also convenient to maintain, which is especially important in public spaces. However, it has a significant drawback – it usually reflects sound well, causing interiors to have a long reverberation time, are loud and not very acoustically comfortable.
However, we have a solution for this – hand-smoothed, acoustic plaster Sonacoustic® PL1, on system mineral wool. It allows you to build minimalist interiors with very good acoustic parameters. At the University of Warsaw, Sonacoustic® plaster on the ceiling looks like a typical plaster covered with paint, but it has unusual properties – sound absorption class A. This is what made it possible to obtain a quiet and friendly, although in fact very spacious space.
